Dutch-Haus® MRP® Wood Floors are exclusively made in the Netherlands in a state-of-the-art facility where traditional products benefit from modern technology. Produced from genuine vintage-character grade French Oak hardwood on a multi-layer Moisture-Resistant-Platform (MRP®), the hardwood top wear layer is adhered (cold press) to the highest grade water-resistant, multi-ply Baltic birch plywood for a dimensionally stable product that is both beautiful and extremely durable. Our Dutch-Haus® MRP® Wide Plank Wood Flooring is the closest you can get to water-proof hardwood flooring without settling for materials that only bear the appearance of a hardwood floor.
Genuine French Oak (Quercus robur or Quercus petraea) is lumber that comes from sustainably and responsibly cultivated forests in France and other temperate climate zones of Europe. Per European laws, these trees are not harvested until reaching approximately 150-200 years of age, once they’ve grown to the required girth. The hardwood is dried naturally for several years then kiln dried to ensure dependable moisture content and stability. The trademark tight cathedral graining of French Oak is a direct result of the Euro-Sawn method used to cut our carefully selected logs.
The timeless, rustic look of Vintage French Oak® will never go out of style. Whether designing a modern space or a traditional one, hardwood floor is indeed a beautiful platform for all concepts. As you know, French Oak floor is a natural product. Like every tree, each board is unique with its own individual character. This is, after all, the attraction of real wood, and therefore it will never date. Over the years your French Oak floors will mature and the color will gradually darken, increasing in richness and depth.

The art of creating durable, strong floors from oak trees has been cultivated in Europe for centuries. Dutch-Haus® Wood Floors are meant to last generations. The warm surface adds comfort to your home or office. Its naturally occurring grooves, flecks, character marks and knots (filled for safety) will work to blend with accidental dents and scratches. The material is hard wearing, long lasting and its moisture resistant quality will allow it to dry back to original shape after most water exposure. Over time, a natural patina will form, reminding future caretakers of the thoughtfulness of those who came before them.
Hardwood floors are naturally hygienic as they do not absorb allergens. Dust, debris and spills are very easy to clean from Dutch-Haus® Wood Floors. Methods recommended to care for your floors are frequent vacuuming and occasional well-wrung damp mopping with fresh, room temperature water. Special gentle cleansers may also be used periodically as long as they are compatible with your finish. Only products approved for hardwood flooring should be used. After several years, if needed, the flooring surface may be rejuvenated with reapplication of hardwax oil, or sanded and refinished. Please refer to our supporting documents for further instruction on recommended care and maintenance.
Full-spread glue-down, nail-down or full-spread glue & nail-down are the only approved methods for warranted installation of Dutch-Haus® MRP® Wide-Plank Flooring. Floating installation is not recommended and will void all warranties. For detailed information and guidance, please refer to the Dutch-Haus® Wide Plank Floor Installation Instructions.
